This morning, Emma and I took Ethan to a pediatric dermatologist to have a wart burnt off his ear. This is the second time this skin tag has been burnt. The first time, at our regular pediatrician, Ethan didn't cry, even though it hurt a lot. This doctor told us that she has a better method than most pediatricians, but it also hurts more. She wasn't kidding. Ethan was as brave as can be, but there were tears coming down while she was burning it, and after the dermotologist left the office Ethan really started crying. It was very sad.
This afternoon, Emma was playing with her dolly and told Elliott and I that her dolly had a bump on her ear, and had to go to the doctor. Then she and Ethan got out the doctor kit and proceeded to "burn" the baby, along with a myriad other procedures. Do I hear Harvard Medical School calling our name?

poor ethan, i'm sure he was trying to be so brave. What a little man. That's such a cute picture, I can't believe how old Emma looks, though!
oh that is so sad. It is so hard to know that something hurts and the tears come and all you can do is hug and love him. He is one brave boy!! Love you all
What a brave guy! I think it's harder for me when they try so hard to be brave. For some reason it's a little easier when they are screaming their heads off.
Yeah, I was teary eyed too... it was really sad!
