Why bother having kids...

This story is pretty sad... I mean, does any mom really prefer changing diapers to her own pursuits? Probably not. But my kids are such a source of joy for me. I would have a less fulfilling life without Andrew spouting off random science facts, Ethan drawing monsters from the Rampage video game nonstop, and Emma doing Barbie movie impersonations (see Elliott's blog for more on that!)
I admit that being a mom is tough, and frustrating, but the good times definitely outway the bad. I have witnessed some great moments when I take my kids to their activities, help out at their schools, and just hang out with them!

that is pretty sad. i wonder what she would say if something happened and her children were hurt or taken from her. THEN how bored would she be? sick-o. those poor boys deserve better.

Why is it a sad story? She's not saying that she hates her kids or being a mother. She's just saying that most of it is boring, which a lot of it is.

of course being a mother and homemaker is boring sometimes. but you know what, it is way more exciting than any other job i can think of. if this is the life you have chosen for yourself, embrace it. i say, if you don't want kids, then you shouldn't have them. that lady was dumb. but i did like the last quote in the article from her son when he said that moms are boring, too. we probably are.

Haha Julianne I was thinking the same exact thing.
