My ear hurts!

I just got off the phone with a teleresearcher calling from some opinion marketing firm. I know these people get paid per survey they finish, so I agreed to the call after the woman told me it wouldn't take long.

She must have decided that as long as she had me captive, she would give me every survey they had. I was ready to quit about halfway through when I heard in the background another woman yelling for them to quit calling her (I think I heard it through the phone line.) It made me feel bad, so I stayed on until she had asked me all her questions. It only took 20 minutes! Yikes!

At least I got my diaper bag cleaned out while I was on the phone. I love multitasking!

i can tell you, from neal's perspective (he did phone surveys after he received his bachelor's degree in molecular biology),
Thank You for answering all the questions. They only get paid for the finished surveys, usually.

good thing you're so nice. :)

sigh... I try to do these surveys, also, because I remember how excruciating it was for you!

Even I do these surveys because I feel so sorry for the person that is asking the questions. I can ususlly multi task too when I am taking them-putting the dishes away out of the dishwasher, putting clothes in the washing machine etc.

Ditto Mom. Although they are so annoying by the end of it.

hmmm, when I did surveys, I didn't get paid anything extra for surveys that people answered, I just got paid by the hour.

When people answered surveys, however, it broke up the terrible monotony of rejection.
