Portrait of young artists

Last Spring I thought it would be fun to get a few art projects for my kids to complete during Spring Break. For some reason, we only completed one of them, and I decided to keep the t-shirt painting for a rainy day project during the summer. Unfortunately, the Midwest had a serious drought this summer, so the project sat for several months more.

Ethan is an artist with serious passion, and when he re-found the bag with the shirts and paints, he wouldn't let me have a moment of rest until I agreed we could do some painting for Family Home Evening one night.

It was a great success...

Here they are modeling the finished, dried products a few weeks later...

Elliott and I also decided our basement needs a little more original artwork, so during Fall Break next week, the young 'uns are going to be painting stretched canvases for us.

what a great idea having them paint stretched canvases for the basement walls. I love their shirts. Of course Andrews would be covered with bugs. Ethan's has a good design with his name in the middle and Emma with all of her bright colors. Such budding artists!

Alex told me that on his mission there was this super rich couple that had really cool abstract art in their living room. They got tons of compliments on it.

Turns out their little kids made it for them. :)
