For Emma's brithday this year we bought her a Bitty Baby from American Girl. The company sells matching clothes for baby and "mother", so we bought them matching nightgowns too, which Emma has worn everynight since then! Maybe the matching nightgown is what convinced her the doll's name needed to match hers, so the doll is now affectionately called Little Emma. Of course, Little Emma will be sad if she doesn't get any Christmas presents, so she is getting new clothes and a crocheted blanket.
(Today in the car Emma informed me she was changing the name. I got excited until she told me the doll's new name: Poopydiaper. I think I'll stick with Little Emma!)
