Who, me?

(Flattering, I know! But I really prefer a rousing game of twister over housework any day!)

If you are a mom with young children, please go read this article over at Mormon Mommy Wars. And then stop feeling so guilty. Some moms really like to clean, some really like to cook, and for some of us, just surviving makes it a great day. I happen to go through phases with all of these... but luckily I am okay with that.

I don't like the MMWs posting at all! All the responses of women who write they ignore their children!? What's up with that? You're a wonderful Mother, Ginger...not like the posters from the blog. Kids need time/attention from their moms. The woman who lets her child watch tv while going to sleep is nuts. Lots of this stuff will come back to haunt these tired (and sometimes lazy) moms. Geeesh... just do the laundry!

Mom- I really don't think they ignore their children all the time.

But the point is, every mom is different, and we shouldn't all be trying to be supermom, and then feeling guilty when it doesn't happen. Every mom has her own strengths... And none of us are "perfect".

*I* was never SuperMom (although some out of the loop people called me that). I tried to do what was best for the children, and you know I wasn't perfect! Not anywhere near. But one has to try to do one's best... nap or not.
