.... twice, actually, and I have this overwhelming sense of guilt because I haven't responded yet... okay, here goes, at least for one of them!
Jeanne tagged me with the book tag... Pick up the book nearest you that has at least 123 pages, turn to page 123, find the 5th sentence, the write the next three sentences in your post:
The book is The Last English King (by Julian Rathbone). I borrowed it from my wonderful MIL, who has an enormous library full of books she freely shares with me.
Anyway, here's my quote: "Tostig he loved. And Edith he agreed to marry, albiet it was a marriage which, after the first storms, settled on both sides into refined and distant disdain. Hate, respect, love, a bad marriage... whatever -- he was bound to the clan throughout his reign and for most of it he longed to be rid of them but, try as he might, he could not loosen the knots, for the truth was that neither of them could survive without the other,"
PS... I am almost done with this book, and I don't recommend it... JIC you were wondering!
Jen, I will try to get to your tag soon!
