Painting is so much easier...

... when I am watching Elliott do it!

Of course, that is not the case this time. It's my quilting room, and the painting won't get done unless I do it myself.

This room was quite dreary in its previous life, but I decided I wanted more cheeriness in spite of the lack of windows. I bought natural light bulbs (they reproduce the light of sunshine), which made a world of difference. I decided to go with a white paint (Valspar's Raw Silk) to keep the room feeling light. This way the wall color won't reflect on to fabrics I am trying to put together either. I want to see true colors when I am in fabric lala land.

It's true that at about 10pm last night I wondered what I had gotten myself into, but I know in the end I will be proud of my work. I have one coat up on two walls... that means I have about 3 nights work ahead of me! Yikes.

My house is definitely showing neglect... Sorry, we aren't accepting visitors at the moment!
