No Lurking Allowed Today

I really need everyone's help, so please don't just lurk. Give me your opinion!

I am changing my design for my about.com doll quilt... with the reasoning coming once my partner recieves her quilt. I don't want to give anything away! But I need help deciding on the contrasting color for the quilt.

Just found your site and I love it. Sounds like we have many things in common. I'm all for the aqua because the blues are just too predictable for me. Aqua also gives it a younger look.

I agree with Kathi. The Aquas are softer and don't overpower the red like the blue does. Anyway that is my opionion.

Hi Ginger, it's Emily, Melinda's older sister...I love reading about your family and I drive by your parents' house all the time as we now live in San Rafael!

I vote for the blue. But perhaps that's because I'm obsessed with the color combo of red and baby blue. Those are the colors I used in my twin boys' room. Either way, I'm sure it will turn out beautifully.

BTW, Melinda *loves* the quilt you made for her daughter. It's really beautiful and matches her nursery perfectly!

Haha -- you're going to get all sorts of opinions! I think I should vote for blue just to even up the votes LOL! But really -- I just love both of them and I think either way you go would be beautiful!

I actually am going to agree with the last two votes - BLUE! I think it's a better compliment to the reds without looking too holiday-ish. Sure wish I could quilt!!

I love the aqua prints better then the blue and the colors go so pretty together. Like a classic vintage yet modern look... is that a look? :D

i love the aquas. they totally get my vote.

If you want a bolder contrast go for the blues. If you want a more subtle look choose the aquas. (I personally like the blues, but I'm sure that whatever you choose will be gorgeous!)

I really like the aqua. It's so sweet with the red.

I vote for blue - it is my favorite color in all the world ;)

the aqua is nice, too.

Aqua, Aqua!!! I love those colours, and the pattern on the bottom right one.

this is tough, I really like both...but if I had to choose, I would pick the aquas.

I love blue! I vote for the blue, just because it does give it more contrast.

audrey would disown me if i voted for anything but aqua. plus, it looks neat, kind of unexpected.

Blue. Definitely.

For what it's worth: I vote for the aqua. It is more memorable than the blues. The blue is forgettable. Can't wait to see what you choose!

The aqua is a pleasant trip away from the common.

Blue.

I like either, but the solid blue looks out of place and bright. Perhaps a mix of the blue and aqua prints? I like the dragonflies

you may have already decided, but i like the blue. it's a stronger contrast. (this is bethany's sister, by the way)

Ginger, Thank you again for last night. I had a great time! I love that you are so crafty.. I'm seriously lacking in that department and I love that you watch 30 Rock... hilarious. If you want, send me an email from your email address you use to log into your blog and I'll add you to the list... not that it's exciting...but I'm glad I have one now to keep in touch with everyone at home. Anyway, have a great weekend. Meg

I really like the aqua/red combo! I am just starting a quilt for my sister that has scalloped binding, I'm a bit nervous... but it'll be a while before I get to the binding part!

I just found out that a good friend of mine moved into your ward, about a year ago... Kim W*, she has a little boy named Isaiah and a little girl, whose name I don't remember, she was born after they moved up there. Small world, although in the church, this is easy to do!
