I found two fabrics that may fit the bill. The first is a minkee fabric. I have never personally worked with minkee, but I know many quilters who have. It is a slippery fabric, but if you use enough pins, it will stay in place while being sewn. It is extremely soft, and would make a great backing fabric for a little crib blanket.

My favorite giraffe print is this great print from Alexander Henry. It is available from The Fabric Shack, which I have never ordered from, but I hear they have great service. This is a woven cotton fabric, and combined with the size of the giraffes, the fabric would be perfect for a bumper, dust ruffle, curtains, or any other number of larger items you would find in a child's bedroom.

Thanks! These are both great options.
I will let you know how it turns out...
I think that giraffe print could be great in an ADULT room, too. I love it. Thanks for sharing it.
