This morning, Sophie got a haircut.

I just love her little neck. Yum!
I can't remember what I last said about the pinwheel quilt... progress stalled while I was sick, but the rows are ready to be sewn into the quilt top, so it should be ready in time for Mom to take with her when she comes out here in October.
This past week, during the evenings, I wasn't up to riding my recumbent bike (who doesn't love working out while sitting?!?), and all my blocks had been pressed for the pinwheel quilt, so I decided to begin hand quilting a little baby quilt I made several years ago when Elliott and I lived in Los Angeles. It has been basted and put away for at least 5 years, awaiting the moment I would pull it out and begin the hand quilting. I really love it, and can't wait to show you pictures once it is finished.
Once the pinwheel quilt top is put together, I can get started on the next project I have been gathering fabrics for... aren't they delicious?

I was going to put some links in this post, but I have got to get my kitchen floor swept! Have a great week!

Sorry you were sick but glad you are better now. The quilt fabrics are so cheerful and fun. Wish I was as talented at quilt making.

we love the neck too! thanks for the update.
I can't believe how grown-up Sophie looks with her haircut. I wish we could see you guys more often!! And I like those fabrics. They are bright and cheerful.
What a beautiful layout of fabric for your next quilt! Yum!
Great fabrics for dreary days! Can't wait to see what it looks like.
Those little girls are growing too fast! The paper piecing is perfect. sigh... I've got to make time to piece.
