Jane Austen is my favorite author. I have read all the books she wrote, visited two of her homes, seen all the movie adapted from her books, own quite a few of said movies, and read several "sequels" to her books written by others. I would look at the sentence I just wrote and think I was a little obsessive, if I didn't know that several other people have done the same!
Therefore, my curiosity was piqued when Elliott linked an article about this book into his Google Reader "shared" items.

It is definitely going into my cart! Scrolling down the page, I also came upon a discussion of Jane Austen sequels, and was happy to find more that I haven't heard of. I'm still working my way through Battle Cry of Freedom: The Civil War Era. It's a great book, but at 900-something pages and lots of facts, it does take a little longer than the average fluffy novel.
Dear Fluffy Novels,
Don't worry, it won't be long until we are reunited, especially those of you who are based on Ms. Austen's books.
Your devoted reader,
Ginger

hahaha, i saw that, too, so funny! when you are done with them don't forget to pass them on to me!!!
Jane and Zombies? Sounds like a storyline out of Northanger Abbey. :-) I might have to look for it. Love Jane!
Fact books are fine as long as they are written by someone who is only slightly smarter than myself. Once I get into fact books and political philosophy books, etc. that are written by extremely intelligent people, I have to suffer through lots of big words and complicated paragraphs and I end up just day-dreaming about how sophisticated and learned I am for reading this smart person book.
You really gotta dumb it down for me. :)
How funny! I realized after the last book meme that my Jane Austen was non-existent, so I'll be trying to remedy that. I just got done listening to Northanger Abbey on my trip last week -- books on tape was a new experience for me too -- not sure I liked it, but I did like the book so I'm anxious to read more!
