Overheard

Setting: We were sitting around the dinner table discussing the kids' school day. Andrew's class had library today.

Elliott: Do you guys use a card catalog to find books?

Ginger: (Snickering in the background)

Andrew: What's that?

Just the other night Jacob corrected me when I said, "We have it videotaped," about a show Naomi wanted to watch.

I think they taught us how to use a card catalog once in elementary school, but we never actually used them.

And just for the record, Mom used the word "phonograph" (not "record player") and only her youngest child didn't know what it was.
