Okay, it's kind of related to quilting, as there is a sewing machine involved.
Inspired by my uber talented sister-in-law Stephanie, and by my rockin' friend Sarah, and by all things Project Runway (I can't wait for the new season!), I made a skirt for myself.
(You might want sunglasses so you aren't blinded by my Indiana-winterized legs! haha!)

This is New Look pattern 6854, view D... super easy!
Next up... matching Easter dresses for the girls. I have lots of fun stuff I want to sew for the girls, actually. I'm having trouble controlling my fabric buying, but my current rule is finish one before starting another.
And Mom, in case you are worried, your fabric is ironed... I'll start cutting this week.

You look hot! I love it! Nice legs. :)
the skirt looks great - and so do you! i keep wanting to sew for ruby - but i'm trying to get a few other project finished up first. maybe this summer i'll get around to it . . . i love the little girl skirts that heather bailey linked to a while ago.
I am impressed with anyone who sews anything that can't be cut by a rotary cutter ... into lots of little pieces. Looks like a perfect fit, which is not easy to come by. Congratulations.
i LOVE that fabric!!! you look great ginger, your hair, your shoes, i love it all. :)
it's funny because whenever i see fabric i like, whether it's home dec fabric or maybe meant for a quilt, i always picture it as a skirt.
Good job! I like the skirt with that cardigan.
Very cute -- you look adorable! If my Indiana winter legs looked as good as yours, I might actually wear a skirt too!
leslie said exactly what i was going to say, of course. i love the whole look, ginger. nicely done.
Wow, fabulous! I wish I had such skill!

At first I thought you were wearing white tights. Then I read the post a little more carefully. :)
