So you may remember that for her 6th birthday, she got my old sewing machine, and a small fabric stack of charm squares. She got right to work sewing, and with a surprisingly little amount of help from me, recently finished this quilt.
I think it turned out so cute!
Of course, as soon as she finished the top, she was ready to start a new quilt, but I wanted to
break her of my bad habits help her learn to finish before she starts a new one, so I had her help me layer and baste the quilt together, and then I helped her guide it through the machine for the quilting. I did the binding, but with Henry's arrival it took me a while to finish hand stitching it down.
As soon as Henry is a wee bit older, I told her we can start a new quilt; one that will be lap sized for her. Hopefully we will get it done a little faster this time!
